Andrea was born in Bogota, Colombira. She is an award-winning performer, choreographer and movement director. Andrea has worked in the performing arts industry nationally and internationally for 18 years. She is passionate about joining different art disciplines such as dance, acting, film, music, design, audiovisudal and total art to find new forms. In 2004 she won a Colombian National Grant to study choreography for 3 years. In 2008 whilst working with the British Council and Kneehigh Theatre Company, Andrea was invited by Emma Rice (the current artistic director at the Globe Theatre) and Mike Shepherd (founder of Kneehigh) to come to the UK for an artistic residency. Andrea found London an ideal city to express and tell stories because of the diversity of culture and art. Based in East London for the past seven years and currently residing in Bogota since the beginning of 2018 she is the first Latin American performer and choreographer having work experience with companies as "Akram Khan Dance Company, and the film choreographer Francesca Jayes ("Artificial Intelligence", "Sweeney Todd", "Muppets Most Wanted").
